What to expect?

If you are going to be joining us for the first time at Immanuel City, here are some things you might find helpful to know about our community:

SERVICE TIME?
We meet at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cambridge on Sunday mornings at 11:30AM.
PARKING?
There is plenty of free parking as well as convenient city parking lot with parking spots for the handicapped off of Church St.

ACCESSIBILITY?
People with disabilities will find our facilities fully accessible. Our main entrance can easily accommodate larger vans for convenient drop-off/pick-up.
The washroom on the main level is completely wheelchair accessible.

WHAT TO WEAR/HOW TO DRESS?
We want you to dress in a manner that is comfortable for you—casual to business-casual are all acceptable.

UPON ARRIVAL?
When you arrive, you will be welcomed by our Guest Services Team who will escort you to the auditorium, where we currently gather. When you enter the auditorium, you will be given a copy of  the bulletin of the night which highlights the outline of the service and key events/information we may have for you.

ONCE WE BEGIN?

Our service begins with a warm welcome either spoken or by video.
A time of singing follows; all are invited to sing along (with the guidance of our worship team) to the lyrics posted on the large screen.
At Immanuel City we aim to encourage a sense of a family/community, this is why we always have a "mingle time"- a part of the service where we are all
encouraged but not obligated to participate in pursuit of getting to know each other.
An offering plate will be passed around to collect financial contributions from our regular church family members--you are not obligated to give.
The Pastor will then give his message,
You are encouraged to bring a Bible, but if you do not have one, one will be found on your seat when you come into the auditorium.
You can also follow along on the large screen as the Bible verses will too be posted there.
The service will then conclude with additional music and a closing prayer.

WHAT IF I HAVE CHILDREN?

Before the service begins you will be welcomed by our ushers who will direct you to our Children's Dept. where you can register your child, have a look at the classroom where they will be, meet the volunteers who will be able to answer any questions you may have.

Once the service begins, we invite you to keep your children with you during our singing time of the service.

During the Pastor's message we invite children from the ages of 0 to 10 to the upper area of our church, where we have classes teaching the same content as what the Pastor will be teaching.

We have a dedicated team of volunteers who have a clean Police record to work with children, who which also desire to help your children grow in their relationship with God through music, scripture memory, crafts, and Bible lessons.

Should your child be in need of your assistance a volunteer would then immediately seek the parents/guardian.
